i have oily skin. what can i do to make my make up last longer?
My skin is sensitive and oily so when i apply make up it looks good but three or four hours later it looks like it didn't put any on at all. I don't want to keep applying it through out the day or it looks cakey. But i hate having to wash my face and having to start over again. What can i do to make my make up last throuhout the day? Do i need to use a certain type of make up?
Suggestion:
Use primer before, invest in a higher quality foundation and use a brush to apply.
I would definitely recommend investing in a high-quality foundation brush. Fingers and sponges don't get good application and transfer bacteria, and sponges soak up the product. I like MAC's 190 foundation brush used with MAC Studio Sculpt foundation.
Another good foundation is Clinique Super Fit, it's works well with oily skin (I have combination skin and it stays matte all day).
It'll also help to set your foundation with powder. With powder, in my opinion you can get away with a cheaper drugstore brand. CoverGirl would be nice if you're just starting out with makeup.
Hope this helps!
Stila powder foundation is the closest thing to magic I have ever seen!
I highly recommend you try out M.A.C.'s Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. This foundation is specially formulated to control oil. It keeps your skin mattified for up to 8-hours and you don't need to touch-up.
If you don't want to switch foundations, then I recommend you use an oil-control primer and/or serum.

Some good make-up for you condition is in the links below. It is by CoverGirl©. it is for oil control and sensitive. Also, to make your make-up last longer try using make-up primer, this will save you a lot of time. MAC has really good primers. I posted some links below for it . Also, the could thing about the MAC website is that they have online staff to help you decide which is best for you !
Hope this helps ,

Don't use Covergirl foundation because I find that thats more for Normal – Dry Skin.
Use a scrub 3 times a week such as St Ive's Apricot Scrub which really illiminates oil. Then use a gel facial wash and that keeps your oil levels down. Also if you eat lots of junk food that could increase oil retaination in the pores. Use Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation which lasts 12 hours and doesn't need touching up at all. Use a sterdy concealer that won't fade such as Natio which lasts ages but it's hard to get the exact skin tone.
Exfoliate 3 times a week,Use a good primer, try something that is matte and supposed to last all day..My fav primer is milk of magnesia seriously i love it keeps my face sweat proof and looking good all day
