How are skin tags removed?
I have a skin tag on my underarm – its been there for a while but until now did not cause much trouble… It Measures about 2mm in width and 4mm in length… Until 2-3 days days agos it swas ok – but lately it has been very sore (its rubbing on my clothes), its is intermittently bleeding (not much) and it is very red, and slightly purple in colour…
I have an appountment with my practice nurse on wednesday, I was just wondering how she would remove it… Thanks…
Suggestion:
If it's a simple skin tag, which it sounds like, those are pretty easy to remove. The doctor can remove those in the office with a little device that basically burns it off. Because these are typically dead skin, this really doesn't hurt so don't get too concerned. Some of them have to be cut off, but that's for the ones that are pretty big. I've even seen some doctors just take a sharp pair of scissors and cut them off, but I wouldn't recommend you try this at home.
