As President Obama sets out a new health care system is there something you can do at home or in the office to prevent accidents and viruses?

With President Barrack Obama on very thin ice with his current demands to change the way the health care system is are there actually any proven ways you can stop the spread of catching something nasty, and making your home or business a safer place to be?
Well of course there are some really obvious ones that sometimes you just wouldnt think of doing.

When preparing meat and food in the kitchen, never use the same knife for different meats or switch from meat to vegetable or something like that as this can spread the bacteria which of course can then grow into something distasteful. Make sure that you wash the worktop after you have finished preparing the food and make sure you have clean hands before starting the next preparation step.

Is your laundry washers up to the standard it needs to be? Perhaps looking into getting a new one is a good idea, your current one could be getting old which of course means it may not be doing its job.

At work or in your business you can do a lot too, vacuuming can be key to a clean workplace as it gets rid of all of the dust and crumbs that have been left behind by others. If you own a business with lots of washing then an industrial washing machine may be what you are after. Of course if you do not need something that big then perhaps one of those commercial laundry machines may be better for you.

There are some steps here that do not take much at all and can really help. Make sure that at the home or office you do not leave anything by stairs or in the front of a fire door to make sure no-one will trip and break something. If you follow some of these steps you are most certainly on the way to a healthier and safer work/home environment.
